Rendering of www.ubuntu.com is very choppy on Nexus 10

Bug Description

flash a nexus 10 with a recent devel-proposed image (I used 58)

Open www.ubuntu.com in the web browser app

scroll the page with your fingers.

Observe that the rendering is choppy and juddering, unpleasantly so.

expected result: smooth scrolling.

Browsing is also choppy for me in Nexus 5. It isn't *very* choppy, but far less smoother than Android browser, for instance.

FWIW, this seems to vary by website. It's unfortunate that one of the problematic ones is the default in the image.
