Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

A recent update to xserver-xorg-video-ati (1:6.6.193-1ubuntu1) on Gutsy appears to have caused color palette corruption on my Radeon 7200 "All-In-Wonder" card. VESA driver works fine. Switching resolutions or changing color depth does not have an effect, a la bug #35724. Screenshot won't help because there are no display artifacts - just the color palette seems to be off. Browns appear green and the Ubuntu login splash screen appears to be rainbow-colored.

FWIW, the log reports "Non RGB Multicolor Display".
Can you please try with the ati 6.7.194 driver (Gutsy Beta)?
