Bug Description
[Impact]
* Previously Django's aggressive connection closing policy would prevent session-level locks from being maintained.
[Testcase]
* Run included tests
[Regression Potential]
* Minimal, potentially an issue as it deals with releasing a lock (it could throw an exception) but most is just fixing up testcases.
See bug 1308069.
