Bug Description

When I adjust the volume - either by hovering the cursor over the indicator and scroling, or by clicking on the indicator and dragging the widget - the volume will jump up and down rather than smoothly increasing or decreasing.

I have the same problem after installing Trusty. This worked perfectly in Saucy, not sure what's causing this.

I'll provide any log / information you want, just ask right away.

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 64bit,

Hardware information:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz × 4
Graphics: GeForce GTX 550 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 using properietary drivers (nvidia-331.38 tested)
