Yeah I agree, it feels weird that this screen slides in.

I am just overwriting the stack transition type temporarily in the show_alert function.
Maybe not the most elegant solution, but works :-)

You should submit your fix using a Bazaar branch, branching the main Switchboard project, commiting your changes, uploading your branch, and then proposing it for merging.
