unity8 crashing on app start (intermittent)

For the last few images (currently on utopic 45), Unity8 has had a tendency to crash when launching an app. The specific app doesn't seem to matter; I've seen it on the camera app, the settings app, and (IIRC) the gallery app. It only happens a small percentage of the time though, probably one in ten or twenty app launches.

What I see as a user is: I tap an app to start it, the screen goes white except for the indicator bar, and it stays that way (unresponsive) for about 90 seconds while apport makes a crash dump file, then unity8 restarts.

I don't really know what the cause of the issue is, but I at least have a processed crash dump with tracebacks and such.

Fix for this is in queue for unity8.
