The system has multiple meta packages installed which seems to be causing an issue for the release upgrader. The installed meta packages include kubuntu-desktop, ubuntu-desktop and ubuntustudio-desktop.

Hello,

I did remove the all the *desktop meta packages and it's still failing during the warmup.

How did you find where the error comes from? I will try to investigate further.

Regards,
Encolpe

After several tries the release upgrade has been done via apt-get.
I hope the system is stable enough to wait the release 14.10.
