don't make the user choose a directory structure

that's definitely an engineering decision. We should decide on a good default and kill the option.

Be aware that we included this option in the first place due to heavy user demand.

Some users don't care about their photos directory structure, but a vocal group do care and have cultivated their directory to their personal tastes. They saw Shotwell's default as messing up their desired system and hence we added this feature.

In addition, we also had people who wanted the ability to add the event's name into the directory structure, although we've not implemented that.

The feature might stay, but if it's only for a few experimented users, it might be a GSetting entry as it is done in Noise.

For information: In Noise there is the "path-string" property with "$ALBUM_ARTIST/$ALBUM/$TRACK - $TITLE" by default.

Corentin that sounds like a solid compromise. Leave the gsetting for our more nitpicky users and remove the extra UI bits to get something more like what we have in Music
