Thunar window scrolling horizontally on file copy or move

I'm finally starting to get frustrated with this bug. It has been present for a long time and never seems to improve i.e. not just Trusty but as far back as I can remember. This is not a "feature".

I open two thunar windows. I copy or move files from one to another.
When the file operation is completed, suddenly the windows scroll horizontally so I have to keep scrolling back to the left edge so I can read the file names.

Still present in Thunar 1.8.1

Move a file to another window and the pane scrolls horizontally. Isn't anyone else tired of this behaviour?

It does not look like anyone else is. I was not able to find a report for this behavior in the Xfce bug tracker.

This drives me crazy. When dragging files from one window to another, I'm always stacking them vertically to dodge this issue. Would be real nice if it were fixed.
