Bug Description

The process 'baloo_file_extractor' cause the machine to be unresponsive. The process 'baloo_file_extractor' is running with a NICE value of 19 so it's not hogging the CPU. But it is using a lot of RAM. I suspect it opens too many files at one time. As a result it takes up a lot of ram for file buffering. the command 'ps' shows "/usr/bin/baloo_file_extractor 8619 8618 [and a lot more 4digit numbers]".

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
