Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.15 kernel[0].

I installed the 3.15 kernel as requested RC5 and it fixed the problem :

Well, hopefully the kernel will find its way downstream at some point - you'll probably have to move to Mint 17 as it may not be backported to 16. For now, your mainline kernel will work fine, but you will not get any new patches for it until the normal repos receive 3.15
