Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Version info:
I have Ekiga 2.0.3 and Rhythmbox 0.10.0 running on Ubuntu Feisty.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run rhythmbox and start playing songs.
2. Start Ekiga (prompts skip).
3. Start Configuration Druid
4. Go from Step 6 to Step 7 (prompts skip)
5. Press "Test Settings"(prompts skip, and rhythmbox will not play until the window is closed)
6. Press forward until the end and press "Finish" (prompts skip)
7. Make call (Rhythmbox won't start playing until call is over, then skips a track)
There are probably other ways to cause Rhythmbox to skip tracks than these.
What should happen:
Ekiga should work without interfering with Rhythmbox.
Debugging output:
I ran rhythmbox with the -d flag, and made a call, and this is the output that occurred:

Further information:
This may not be bug with rhythmbox, per se, but maybe of some underlying program that is disturbed. If so, this bug should be moved to that package.
are you using esound, pulseaudio or something similar which allows to mix multiple audio streams, or you try it using alsa or oss directly? properties
you can check this with gnome-sound-
i just test this under gutsy, and right now I'm in a conference at ekiga and the same time listening podcast in rhythmbox, works as expected here.
