Screensaver not disabled during video playback

Screen goes black when watching videos (VLC, Parole), after period of time set in Light Locker settings - Blank screen after.
It stayes blank for 30s and then video is back. All repeats.
Similar to this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/1080847 but not related to mediaplayer.
Fresh install of Xubuntu 14.04.
