Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
$ sudo apt-get install xfonts-terminus
Change default system font to Terminus (any size), I'm using Settings Manager -> Appearance -> Fonts on XFCE/Xubuntu

I can verify that this happens, but it's much more broad than the way it's written here. It looks like any bitmap fonts will cause a crash that includes "Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' in the log. This is a very frustrating problem.
