I just got this on a fresh install of Gutsy Tribe 5:

mnemo@gutsyT5:~/Desktop/eog/eog/trunk$ sudo apt-get install gnome-dbg
[sudo] password for mnemo:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gnome-dbg: Depends: libtotem-plparser1-dbg but it is not installable
Depends: epiphany-browser-dbg but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

This is still a problem, there are libtotem-plparser-dev and epiphany-browser-dev packages but not the -dbg ones it requests.

This has been solved in Gutsy final:

meta-gnome2 (1:2.18.3ubuntu2) gutsy; urgency=low

  * debian/control.in: removed libtotem-plparser1-dbg and epiphany-browser-dbg
dependencies, they are not in gutsy anymore. (LP: #145543)
