Bug Description

There is a bug in Samba that prevents Windows Vista from using Samba 3.0.24 as a backup destination. The Samba team has released a fix here: http://samba.org/samba/patches/ specifically, it's bug 4361, however several other Vista-related fixes are on the page and would probably be worth including. This fix has been rolled into subsequent releases of Samba and I have confirmed that it works in Ubuntu 7.10, but until we can upgrade to a stable 7.10, it would be nice to have it working on 7.04. To maintain maximum compatibility, the patches can be applied to 3.0.24 or the current release (3.0.25b) can be backported.
