Bug Description

I'm working on a port of Ubuntu touch for a device with an SD Card slot.

My understanding is that the SD Card should (eventually) be exposed in the content picker.

However, we observe that the device is not mounted, so appears to be failing to be recognised at all by the Ubuntu Touch infrastructure.

From a root shell, the SD Card can be mounted and browsed as you would expect.

What needs to be configured to enable SD Card support?

I use some tools to get the uevent message from kernel when sd card plug in/out,and all the messages seems right.
But i don't know who deal the messages?systemd-udevd?I can not get any logs when plug in/out in systemd-udevd.
Maybe canonical friends can give me some prompts about this.Thank you

It seems there is no part of the system yet watching for these items, and SD card is a work item for the coming weeks. This bug should be revisted when the Ubuntu Engineering team(s) have added the support to the generic image.

This is something that's going to be handled by the storage framework. I think ultimately the storage framework will provide a handler for content-hub, but I haven't seen the designs for that.
