Bug Description

Digikam 3.5 in trusty may crash in several situations. According to the following upstream report:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329697
this is probably related to the sqlite3 version 3.8.2.

Since upgrading sqlite3 most likely fixes the issue, I ask for it on:

Note that while few people have found their way here, there are a larger number of people reporting problems at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329697 , many of whom are ubuntu users.
