Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04 r303

1. Choose an encrypted Wi-Fi network that you haven't authenticated to before.
2. Wait a minute.

What happens:
1. A dialog appears for the Wi-Fi password.
2. The dialog disappears.

What should happen:
2. The dialog does not disappear until you dismiss it.

This bug happens on Ubuntu Touch, when trying to connect to a wifi network with a very long passphrase.

The issue is that the passphrase input dialog box pops out before i can finish entering the complex passphrase. The only way for me to connect is to use nmcli :/

There's a feature-request from Design to allow apps to control the timeout duration of a notification. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-notifications/+bug/1295762. This will facilitate addressing the issue of this bug. So once #1295762 is fixed, timeout issues can be addressed on a case-by-case basis, instead of having to increase timeouts globally for selected cases.

In the long run any dialog-like UI should be moved out of the domain of notifications.

So either this should be marked as duplicate of the other one, or the indicator service task should be back here, with the above being a prerequisite for fixing this.

I'd opt for marking this as a duplicate of LP #1295762.
