Bug Description
Ubuntu 14.04 r303
1. Choose an encrypted Wi-Fi network that you haven't authenticated to before.
2. Wait a minute.
What happens:
1. A dialog appears for the Wi-Fi password.
2. The dialog disappears.
What should happen:
2. The dialog does not disappear until you dismiss it.
This bug happens on Ubuntu Touch, when trying to connect to a wifi network with a very long passphrase.
The issue is that the passphrase input dialog box pops out before i can finish entering the complex passphrase. The only way for me to connect is to use nmcli :/

There's a feature-request from Design to allow apps to control the timeout duration of a notification. See https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/unity- notifications/ +bug/1295762. This will facilitate addressing the issue of this bug. So once #1295762 is fixed, timeout issues can be addressed on a case-by-case basis, instead of having to increase timeouts globally for selected cases.
In the long run any dialog-like UI should be moved out of the domain of notifications.
