Could not start sendmail

This happens 100% of the time when I try to send a file I've been working on in Gimp through the new "Send by Email" (sendmail) function within Gimp. I guess it appears as if the program is looking for the "sendmail" prompt that doesn't exist where it's looking, but I'm not entirely sure... This slows down my productivity and potentially makes me loose customers and profit in the process.
