using a pcf in "Import Saved Configuration" causes segmentation fault

Bug Description

Using network-manager to install a pcf file from my IT department which worked in previous versions, causes a segmentation fault in Trusty Tahr. `dmesg` and `cat /var/log/syslog` reveal the following:

Can confirm that this bug happens in 14.04 release. NM crashes and crash reporter comes up. I am working around this by just manually filling in a new vpnc connection with the values from the .pcf file.

bug is specific to the NetworkManager part of vpnc, reassigning to network-manager-vpnc

I can confirm this on a Ubuntu 14.04 live USB install:

[ 531.462391] nm-connection-e[4459]: segfault at 0 ip 0000000000433630 sp 00007fffad6d5630 error 4 in nm-connection-editor[400000+50000]

Importing a .pcf file works fine if you do this first:
sudo apt-get install network-manager-vpnc network-manager-vpnc-gnome

Extra information concerning my previous comment: you need the *gnome* package as well. Only then it works as it should.
