Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

libgranite2 version 0.3.0~r713+pkg64~ubuntu0.3.1 required, but 0.3.0~r723+pkg64~ubuntu0.3.1 is available
libgranite-common version 0.3.0~r713+pkg64~ubuntu0.3.1 required, but 0.3.0~r723+pkg64~ubuntu0.3.1 is available
switchboard version 2.0.0~r436+pkg21~ubuntu0.3.1 required, but 2.0.0~r437+pkg21~ubuntu0.3.1 is available
libswitchboard-2.0-0 version 2.0.0~r436+pkg21~ubuntu0.3.1 required, but 2.0.0~r437+pkg21~ubuntu0.3.1 is available

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi,

I'm having this issue as well. I can give you my reproduction steps, I can reproduce it 100% of the time on my pc.

1) Go to the Sound section in System Settings
2) Under the Sound Effects tab, click on different alert sounds a couple of times (3-5 for me does the trick)
3) Watch Switchboard crash

As far as I know I'm using the latest version (I installed the latest updates an hour ago and rebooted)

Even I could reproduce this .
The trick to reproduce it is to select any sound effect, then select Default and then try to select any other sound effect again.

First time it happened , in terminal it showed
double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x09e2d108 ***
Aborted (core dumped)
