Please run again with VERBOSE=1 set in your environment (before running smithy) and attach the output.

Otherwise not much to go on.

I have a 6.4 centos environment and I don't see this error.

For example run $ sudo VERBOSE=1 /home/josh/anvil/smithy --bootstrap (this will get u the verbose output that occurs during the bootstrap phase). Something might not be right with your network connectivity or something else.

Details after running with VERBOSE=1 flag. There are problems with conflicting dependencies.

U seem to have multilib on, I wouldn't recommend using that.

Put "protected_multilib=0" in yum.conf.
