Bug Description

Menu bar integration in LibreOffice Writer do not work anymore, with a fresh install of ubuntu 14.04 lts.

Steps to reproduce:
1. New Writer;
2. Move cursor to the up-left corner.

Current behaviour:
You can see the menus at step 2, but without close/minimize/maximize icons.

Further steps:
3. Go to ubuntu preference and set "show menu in window title bar", rather than in unity menu bar.
4. Retry step 1 and 2.

Current behaviour:
(where have the menus gone?)

Please note that the menu intergraton works ok with Calc.

This is a regression and critical, because window can not be resized in writer so blocks the productivity.

Tested with the TDF build, Version: 4.2.3.3 Build ID: 882f8a0a489bc99a9e60c7905a60226254cb6ff0

In Writer, there is still no close/minimize/maxmize icon.

Even worse, in this TDF build the libreoffice menus do not intergrate with unity at all.

Tested with TDF build 4.2.4.1, the "close/maxmize/minimiaze" icons appears! in writer!

However, menus are still not integrated.

You just need to press Alt and drag the window a little down. The issue here is that Unity places LibreOffice's window title bar behind the panel (bug report 1303462).

no longer affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu)

The same is happening to me. When I open Libre Office Writter the maximize/minimize bar does not appear. When is it planned to be fixed?? I am attaching an image of the problem. I already tried to uninstall and install libreoffice also I tried to rename some files in the ./config directory but nothing works.

I had a similar problem, with all libre office menus not being visible when "show menus" was set for "in the windows title bar" on an upgrade from Precise to Trusty.

Strangely, the behavior was correct on another machine which had a completely fresh install of Trusty.

Comparison via synaptic pointed towards the Libreoffice Meta package, which was installed on the upgraded machine, but not on the new install.

I removed this package via Synaptic, and found the window menu behavior became correct on the upgraded version. Menus are now shown in the windows title bar.
