Since Kubuntu 14.04 kwalletd appears in the systemmonitor as "zombie".

Hi!

The problem is the package pam-kwallet.
You can uninstall it, then there is no zombie process anymore, but kwallet asks for a password, when an application needs the credentials. So you have to type your password twice.
