Bug Description

In Unity I have total 6 workspaces. If I open an application and click on "move to another workspace" or "move to workspace right", the application disappears. However I can still see that the application is running in system monitor. I eventually had to kill and reopen the application.

Also, I only see 2 workspaces after clicking "Move to another workspace" even though I have 6 workspaces.

I lost all data on a file after clicking on "Move to workspace right".

I also asked this question in askubuntu:

Hi,

I believe you are using CCSM->General Options->Desktop Size->Number of Desktops to set the number of workspaces. This option is broken when setting it greater than 1 and the next update should have this removed. Set Number of Desktops to 1 and set the Horizontal/Vertical Virtual Size to your desired configuration.

Please let me know if this fixes it for you.

Thanks!

Earlier I set these settings in CCSM

Horizontal virt. size=1
Vertical Virt. size=1
Number of desktops=6

Changing this to these settings helped fix this issue:

Horizontal virt. size=3
Vertical Virt. size=2
Number of desktops=1
