cannot upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04

Bug Description

i upgrade my ubuntu by update-manager.

It prompted a window and started upgrading.

When upgrading comleted the 1st setp(i.e. Preparing to upgrade) and began running 2nd step (i.e. setting new software channels),

a window prompted and said that 'could not caculate the upgrade ...'.

i tried several times and every time i fell into the same situation.
