Bug Description
All applications should send messages over UDP to syslog server. This minimizes the change of application freezes when packet is sent but ACK was not received causing locks in applications. More details can be obtained at https:/

We default to TCP syslogging because we have been having issues with dropped UDP packets resulting in lost messages. The setting can be changed so I'm not sure we are going to change this.
