I see that version 2.0.0 has been packaged in Debian (http://packages.qa.debian.org/v/vokoscreen.html), so I assume this will be synced to Ubuntu as soon as development starts on the next release.

Yeap, Hans is right. I am the vokoscreen maintainer in Debian and the 2.0.0 version is already packaged.
