Bug Description

Compiz reset is crashing Unity.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Reset using compiz manager (ccsm-settings-reset on typical),
2. remove config files:
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compiz-1
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compizconfig-1
unity --reset
rm -rf ~/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/*
3. unity-tweak-tool --reset-unity
The first and second - reset Unity plugin - get naked desktop with not working hotkeys (think very seriously bug ), but do not solve the problem.
Third - do not do anything at all.

I am not familiar with this tool. We do not support problems with third-party tools.

gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compizconfig-1
unity --reset
rm -rf ~/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/*

You have manually wiped out your Compiz configuration and consider it a bug that your Compiz
configuration has been wiped out? If you break it on purpose, you get to keep both pieces.

Note that "unity --reset" is not an available command in Ubuntu 14.04.

3. unity-tweak-tool --reset-unity

We do not support problems wit third-party tools.

I suggest you reset you Compiz configurations to their original default values using the following command.

    dconf reset -f /org/compiz/

Please try this and let us know if it works for you.
