Subject: gaim: 1.1.3-1: dies with SIGABRT on startup

Package: gaim
Version: 1:1.1.3-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

1.1.3-1 unfortunately is completely unusable. Just when I should get the connection progress bars, showing
each account being auto-connected on startup, Gaim dies with SIGABRT. strace's last few lines show:

Hi all,

Could you try running MALLOC_CHECK_=1 gaim? See if that reports
anything. Or, if MALLOC_CHECK_ is already set, unset it (indeed, that
itself could cause the abort).
