QtCreator shows no main menu in gnome3

Im using ubuntu 14.04 prerelease. The version of qtcreator is 3.0.1-0ubuntu4.

The main menu is missing from QtCreator when started under gnome3.
It is missing right from the start so it isn't difficult to reproduce.
The menu can not be opened with the mouse or by keyboard.
Qtcreator (also 3.0.1) from digia does not have the same defect when running under gnome3.

It also happened to me. Don't worry since it can be resolved by removing appmenu-qt and appmenu-qt5. Those packages (appmenu-qt and appmenu-qt5) won't be needed since you are using Gnome 3.

I attached a screenshot of the result after appmenu-qt and appmenu-qt5 got removed.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

I think some package in gnome3 should conflict and so remove these packages if that helps.

SO what's the suggested solution for people that can't just remove unity from their system?

If that bug's won't fix -- is there an open bug at the appropriate other package?

as a workaround on ubuntu 14.04 unsetting QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME works
