Bug Description

I have successfully installed LogMeIn client (32b logmein-hamachi_2.1.0.119-1_i386.deb from [1]), then registered Haguichi repository in Synaptic and then successfully installed Haguichi client 1.0.24 on my Ubuntu 10.04. See attached screenshot. In spite of that I cannot use the GUI, because it does not recognize that Hamachi is installed and suggests to download it and follow installation instructions which is obviously a non-sense. I suppose this might be caused by a conflict of versions between hamachi 2.1.0.119 and haguichi 1.0.24. Am I right?

Is there a way to workaround it? Can you please help me? I would be a small hero for my kids if I fix this. Thanks guys!

Hello Jiří,

Haguichi does support version 2.1.0.119. Please check if hamachi itself is working correctly by using the command line. To do so type "hamachi" in a terminal and see if there are any error messages.

Yes, there is an error printed into terminal:

hamachi: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by hamachi)

Any advice?

Ah yes, that's a familiar error on older systems. Check this thread for a quick fix:

I think an even better solution would be installing a newer Ubuntu version like 12.04 or 14.04 (which will be released on april 17th).
