Bug Description

I have not been able to replicate this bug on MP3 files, only on m4a audio files I have taken from youtube.

a: open Rhythmbox
b: play /m4a songs
c: press back either by keyboard shortcut, the control under the sound control, or the dialogue on the dash icon.
d: Program freezes

~~Also may have caused my dash search to stop working.~~
Edit: I retested; My unity search was not affected when I retested.

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu
akiva@Akiva-ThinkPad:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Release: 14.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center
akiva@Akiva-ThinkPad:~$ apt-cache policy rhythmbox
rhythmbox:
  Installed: 3.0.2-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.0.2-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.0.2-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What you expected to happen
Press backwards to play the previous song

4) What happened instead
When backwards was pressed, the program hung, and had to be killed.

I ran rhythmbox -d in a terminal, with a script --flush

you can skip to the bottom; "killed" is where I had to close because it froze

I am also able to reproduce this issue. I was unable to find any updated bug threads, so apologies in advance for a depracated update to this report.

The .m4a files in question all came from YouTube, via youtube-dl. I also cannot duplicate the issue with .mp3 files.

1) Output of 'lsb_release -rd':
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04

2) Package version via 'apt-cache policy rhythmbox'
rhythmbox:
  Installed: 3.0.2-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 3.0.2-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 3.0.2-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     3.0.2-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages

3) What you expected to happen
Scroll forward in time via slider, advancing further into .m4a track

4) What happened instead
Rhythmbox becomes unresponsive and Ubuntu prompts to wait or kill. I've waited for several minutes with no luck. Killing the program and restarting is the only way to recover.

Note: It appears Videos is experiencing the same issue when playing .m4a files taken from YouTube; which makes me wonder if the problem is exclusive to YouTube or youtube-dl.
