Bug Description

When I run "apt-get update" manually in a terminal or via the "Get lists" on the packages site I get the following error:

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/

platform: debian / debian / Debian GNU/Linux 7.1 (wheezy)

This is not a bug. It means another apt-get process is running on system, probably a cron-triggered 'apt-get update'. You might want to kill that process.

Another possibility is that you have killed previous apt-get process with SIGKILL, and now you need to remove lockfile manually.

Oh, thanks. I thought it can only have to to with ajenti because when logging in via putty I could normally run the command, it only didn't work inside ajenti.
It seems to work now.
