Bug Description
the latest pytables bugfix release 3.1.1 [0] requires functions from lz4 which are not available in the version available in debian.
In order to update pytables we thus need a newer lz4.
pytables is its only reverse dependency so even though it is a soversion changing update it would only have minimal impact.
I think it would be beneficial if we have the latest version available in trusty, be it just so people can build pytables from source with high performance compression support.
