Jobs failed because of SwiftClient exceptions stays in "Pending" state

When a job fails because of SwiftClientException, as described for example in lp:1305210 or lp:1306713, an exception is visible in sahara logs but the job is still in "pending" state. The exception should move the job to the error state.

It is possible that other exceptions can produce the same effect.
