Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.14 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I can confirm that the bug is still happening with upstream kernel.

I've updated the BIOS, however it didn't help.
The output of the commands is:

H0ET95WW (2.55 )
01/20/2014

I can provide some additional info:
Suspending works as it should, no problem here.
However on hibernation it just boots up as always (if it wasn't hibernated), then I get an apport message about failed hibernation.

XmIsTeR, could you please test the latest mainline kernel via http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.15-rc1-trusty/ and advise to the results?

If reproducible, could you please provide the missing information following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelHibernate ?

While gathering the information I found the culprit. The resume file in initramfs config had a different UUID than my actual SWAP. I had recently changed my swap partition, and it seems that the system doesn't update this file automatically.

Nevertheless , after changing the UUID to the correct value, and updating initramfs, it works.
Thank you for the help.
