Bug Description

According to this (http://www.webupd8.org/2013/01/enable-trim-on-ssd-solid-state-drives.html) create a cron job to run trim regularl is a nice way to keep your system fast if it has ssd drive.

It would be nice to create that cron job automatically at install (and maybe if a new ssd drive has been added to the system).

I see it more like a blueprint. Also Ubuntu 14.04 has it enabled by default, so Isis will have it too.

According to this http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2014/04/ubuntu-14-04-review-missing-the-boat-on-big-changes/1/

"That means you can delete those cron jobs running the fstrim command and stop worrying about adding "discard" to all your fstab entries. Ubuntu 14.04 will handle this automatically, right out of the box. If you're running Ubuntu on an SSD, you will likely notice a speed improvement, particularly in anything that requires a lot of data being written to disk"

So it should taken care on freya.
Still I prefer an official elementary "system developer/architect" to weight on this.

Ubuntu were going to enable it by default in 14.04, but the blueprint is not marked as done:

We do have Ubuntu's /etc/cron.weekly/fstrim, but we'd better double-check that all its dependencies are met and that it indeed functions as expected.

If it is worth anything, this is how I have been setting up my machines with SSD... http://joao.machado-family.com/2014/04/01/linux-ssd-trim-setup/ Been running for over six months with no issues!
