Bug Description
I have been running 14.04 since Alpha 1 and simply updating. Sometime between Beta 1 and Beta 2 ping began to require sudo. I cannot pin point a specific time/update as I don't use ping that frequently.
I have confirmed that on a fresh install from the daily build that this issue is still present. I have tried rolling back to the 3.13.0.17 kernel (the kernel used prior to latest update) but the issue persisted.
This is on a System76 Galago UltraPro
