Bug Description

the daily builds fail if a patch patches a file with a space in them:

https://launchpadlibrarian.net/171893849/buildlog.txt.gz

the file is "examples/IPython Kernel/ipython-qtconsole.desktop" and the patch is correctly quoted, it applies with no issues with patch or quilt.
