Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept

libapt can generate problem reports for failed package installs/removals automatically. This feature is implemented as part of pkgDpkgPM.

Adept uses a old forked version of this file from libapt that does not have that functionality yet. It also lacks dpkg terminal log file generation and updating the automatically the file that contains the information about automatically installed dependencies.

Please either port the new code into adept or (prefered) unfork it again so that it uses pkgDpkgPM in a way so that updates to the class get used by adept automatically.

Basic integration of apport failure report writing works now. The dpkg log file output writing (part of libapt) does not and the way adept is written it is highly unlikely that it will be added anytime soon.
