Bug Description
Digikam puts up its 'splash' logo and announces it is "scanning images" and then that it is "initializing main view" but the splash logo never goes away until clicked on. But even though it goes away, nothing happens beyond that. But a digikam session has started:
bmarsh 12505 2430 3 13:04 ? 00:00:03 /usr/bin/digikam -caption digiKam --icon digikam
and stays started. No other evidence that it is running.
