libreoffice base problem with screen highlighting and artifacts

The home screen of the database application has incorrect highlighting and artifacts on the screen for the selections.
Please see the attached screenshots.

System details:
Screen resolution set to 1280x720

Same behaviour here, for the recently released 14.04 build. The red squares are offset in wrong position as they apparently should be located inside the buttons for Tables, Queries etc. when you press them.

I cannot reproduce this on my trusty machine. Looks like a video driver issue to me.

What video card are you guys using? Can you reproduce the problem on a computer with a different video card? Is the driver for the video card proprietary?

I'm setting this bug to Incomplete as it's not seen any activity since the official release of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
