f-spot buttons hardly work in fullscreen mode

Binary package hint: f-spot

F-Spot works fine (although a little sluggish) in windowed mode, but when in fullscreen mode the buttons hardly seem to work (eg. When I click on the "back" and "forward" arrow buttons: nothing happens, the box just blinks). The buttons work sometimes, but rarely.

I am currently using Ubuntu 7.04, F-Spot 0.3.5

My pc consists of:
512 mb ram [DRR333] (Kingston)
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 (Turbo Cache)
NVIDIA nForce 4 Chipset
AMD Sempron 2800+
