Bug Description
The issue where GNOME apps have a menu with the "X" icon seems to originate in the icon theme. Other icon themes show a circular icon instead of the x. Attaching screenshot of the issue.

This is definitely a bug in Gtk. They're asking for "process- stop-symbolic" instead of an icon that makes sense like "view-more- symbolic"
