Bug Description

Binary package hint: pppoeconf

After installing PPPoE with pppoeconf with all defaults all works (dns adresses from provider). After some time (around 10 min) pppoe crashes. pon dsl-provider - starts work, 10 min- crash and so on.
. The reason is that dns adress is set to my local ethernet dsl modem. This problem could be resolved with writing into /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf :
supersede domain-name-servers 212.188.4.10, 195.34.32.116;
where 212.188.4.10, 195.34.32.116 is my provider dns adresses. But i don't think it's correct cause nothing was sad in pppoeconf.

Other unresolved problem is pppoe start. I choosed option to start pppoe with system, but it doesn't (though i see connections in ifconfig). I heard the reason is that firewall blocks all at start as a default , and if to write pon-dslprovider at session startup all will be ok. but i don't know, and it isn't correct if I'd like to jump among sessions.
Thanks! Hope You'll do Ubuntu better and better, I love this OS :-)

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta or later?
