Broken pop-up menus text

All pop-menus like Power, Applications or launcher menus displays only the top half of text as shown in the attached screenshot.

I installed gnome-shell via Gnome3 PPA on Ubuntu 13.10.

Does this happen when you switch to the default Gnome Shell theme? I suspect this issue is caused by your theme.

Yes it happen with the default theme and all other themes too, usually when I install Gnome Shell with Unity any of them or both will break.
