Bug Description

Using cat /proc/interrupts it will show unknown data of IRQ, but I think it's on kernel bug or Ubuntu won't parse as well, I'm not sure.

Image sample show under IRQ number 49 PCI-MSI edge but I can't recognize what depends on and maybe is a bug?

An image as link shown for above concerns: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BjouExhCMAAonyR.png

This bug didn't affects on critical errors and not crashes on firmware, drivers, etc...

MOD: Please move from "mousepad" category to kernel or proprietary category.

After mute/unmute it's still sames.

After opening audacious and playing it's changes:

 49: 45120 77351 PCI-MSI-edge @\

I'm not sure is that pulseaudio, but my audio works fine and it isn't headpone or something jacked in.

Not sure sound but pulseerrors show on this apport.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.14 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Crazy, after upgrade, dist-upgrade, I'm still on 3.14 kernel.

But after restart and trying using command

watch /proc/interrupts
 49: 145 143 PCI-MSI-edge snd_hda_intel

and playing audacious, mute-unmute etc...

show normally without errors or weird characterst instead snd_hda_intel.

uname -a
Linux skymond 3.13.0-19-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Mon Mar 24 02:37:00 UTC 2014 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

I think now is ok but I'm not sure how and why. Think to mark it solved, if repates errors maybe to context reopen this ticket?
