GDM does not work in multiple displays in nvidia driver (nvidia-331) (trusty) (optimus laptop)

I am currently using gdm version from "ppa:darkxst/gdm-prime" which fixes the bug #1288572. This gdm version should be released soon.
If there is only one display (the built-in laptop monitor), gdm works fine without any problems. If I plugged in another VGA display at boot time, gdm will flicker between grey and black (off) background without showing any text and buttons etc... gdm becomes useless at this state.

Workaround: Login to gnome-shell with one display first. and then plugged in the second VGA monitor. gnome-shell works fine with multiple monitors.

PS: just mentions that I opened another two bugs bug #1296020 and bug #1297090, I am not sure if they are related or not. just FYI.

I believe the phantom display issue is now fixed, which leaves this bug as a duplicate of gdm prime support
